CZarrilliKrista graduated from South Dakota State University in 2011 with a degree in Civil Engineering. As an undergrad, Krista was a Chapter Founder and served as Recruitment Chair, Membership Educator, and Secretary. As Alumna, she was a Founder of the Alumnae Chapter of the Omega Chapter of Alpha Omega Epsilon. She co-wrote the Alumnae Chapter bylaws and served as Vice President of Alumnae Affairs. Before joining the IEB, Krista served on the Website Committee and Promissory Note Committee.

Krista currently works at Infrastructure Design Group, Inc. as a Project Engineer. She designs roadways and utilities for urban reconstruction projects.  Krista lives in Sioux Falls, SD. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, crafting, baking, attending her cousins various sporting events, and hosting game nights for family and friends. Krista enjoys watching Doctor Who, Grey’s Anatomy, and Gilmore Girls.

Maryann FicheraRachel graduate from Marquette University in 2015 with a degree in both Civil Engineering and Enviornmental Engineering.  As an undergrad, Rachel served as Vice-President and Membership Educator in her chapter.  Before joining IEB, Rachel served as the Pi Chapter Alumnae Advisor and Convention Committee Chair.

Rachel is a Wisconsin native and still lives there with her husband, 3 cats, dog, and axolotl.  She is an avid reader, Green Bay Packers fan, and volleyball coach.  Rachel is currently working as a freelance writer and proofreader.  In her spare time, Rachel enjoys going on adventures and travelling.

Rachel graduated from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in May 2017 with a degree in Geological Engineering. As an undergrad, Rachel served as President, Inter-fraternal Council Representative, Recruitment, Assistant Recruitment, and Historian in her chapter.

Rachel currently works for Coeur Mining as a Mining Engineer. She lives in Sturgis, SD with her husband, 2 dogs, 2 bunnies, and 1 duck. Rachel spends her time cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoys spending time at the motorcycle rally every August.

Nikki

Nikki received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Northern Illinois University. She grew up in the Philippines and moved to America when she was 15. After moving to America, Nikki had always kept to herself, but when she found Alpha Omega Epsilon, she started getting more comfortable with herself again.

During her undergraduate years in Northern Illinois University, she served as the Mu Chapter’s Vice President, Membership Educator and a couple of committee chair positions. Currently, Nikki works as an Associate Scientist at Abbott in the Diagnostics division, testing in the labs or analyzing data. She also is the one in charge of onboarding new employees, putting what she learned as a “Mem.Ed.” in use.

Nikki currently lives with her fiancé in Wisconsin, but plans to move back to Illinois to be closer with their family. When she’s not busy working, Nikki enjoys reading her books, playing guitar, recording songs, playing video games with her fiancé or volunteering.

Kathryn Bohn is a California native who found herself amongst the cacti in Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering where she was a founding member and Vice President of the Beta Iota chapter.  Kathryn was lucky enough to find her dream job out of college as an engineering consultant for Burns & McDonnell specializing in renewable energies.

Kathryn found her place in college amongst her sisters of the Beta Iota chapter of Alpha Omega Epsilon. She worked diligently behind the scenes to create a solid foundation for the chapter and mentor the younger sisters so that the chapter would flourish after the founding members graduated. Not quite ready to let go of Alpha Omega Epsilon after graduating college, Kathryn has served as an advisor and eventually working her way up to being the Interchapter Relations Officer on the IEB. She enjoys looking at the bigger picture of the organization and working for the betterment of the Sorority while making sure that the chapters have the resources necessary to continue to be successful.

Sara Lillard

Justine is a 2014 mechanical engineering graduate from the Beta Zeta chapter at the University of Missouri, Columbia. She was a chapter founding member and served as corresponding secretary and president during her undergraduate time. Wanting to stay involved with Alpha Omega Epsilon as an alumna, she volunteers as an Alumna Advisor for the Beta Xi chapter in her home city of St. Louis, MO, is a founding and active member of the Beta Zeta Alumnae Chapter, and a member on the Promissory Committee.

Justine currently works as a design engineer for a mechanical contractor designing HVAC systems for several major hospitals around eastern Missouri. In her free time, she is usually playing referee to her dog and cat, watching The Office and Friends for the 100th time, or planning her next travel adventure. Justine is thrilled to be working with the other amazing women on the International Executive Board and can't wait to expand the alumna and volunteer experience for the members of the sorority.

Sara Lillard

Andrea graduated from Marquette University in 2014 with a degree in Construction Engineering and Management.  After graduation she accepted a job as a Project Engineer and has worked on several commercial office and developer buildings in both Houston, TX and Charlotte, NC.

Andrea was a very active member during her college career, holding the positions of President and Vice President, and hasn't stopped volunteering since she graduated.  Prior to joining the board, Andrea was a Regional Advisor, Convention Committee Chair, and part of the Expansion Committee.  In her free time, Andrea enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants with friends, binge watching shows on Netflix, and relaxing by the pool.  Andrea is very excited to dive in and lead the expansion efforts of the Sorority!

Sara LillardOriginally from Denver, Colorado, I received my Bachelor’s from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in Aerospace Engineering in June 2014.  Right after graduation, I went to work for Orbital ATK in California’s Space Country working on government defense interceptor rockets as an Integration and Test Engineer.  In fall of 2016, I transferred to begin the next stage of my career as an I&T Engineer of Intermediate-Range Ballistic Missile Targets in Rocket City!

I am an alumni and founding president of the Beta Iota Chapter and have continued my involvement as their Alumnae Advisor.  I’ve been a 2-year member of the Convention Committee, a 1-year member of the ENewsletter, Merchandise, and Database Committees.  Elected as DOP was amazing and I hope to take this experience to make beneficial changes to Alpha Omega Epsilon from my seat on IEB.  I enjoy working to further develop our website and online communications and to continuously promote and support the AΩE mission and ideals for all our past, current and future sisters.

Julie HeinrichJulie Heinrich is a graduate of South Dakota School of Mines with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.  She has held multiple positions in the petroleum industry in operations, development and acquisitions.  She currently has her own consulting company called Emerald Oil & Gas, LLC and works domestically and internationally on petroleum acquisitions and development.

Julie is a Beta chapter graduate who was actively involved at the undergraduate level. Along with another Beta Chapter AOE, Julie had the opportunity to install the Gamma chapter before the IEB was created. She is a founding member of the National Executive Board and served as Vice President and President.  After her time on the NEB, now IEB, Julie went on to help set up the Alpha Omega Epsilon Foundation.

She is married and has two children, Dillon who is a freshman at Colorado School of Mines and Taylar who is a sophomore in high school.  Her hobbies include her health practice, hiking, skiing and riding horses.

Alpha Omega Epsilon’s growth over the last 34 years has been amazing and so many wonderful women have made that happen.  Julie is looking forward to working with the IEB and BOD to take Alpha Omega Epsilon to the next level.

Michelle Vondenkamp

Michelle is a graduate of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and holds a BS in Computer Science ('89).  Michelle is currently a Senior Director at a Global Footwear and Apparel Company with a passion for delivering large and complex transformational initiatives. 

Michelle has been instrumental and dedicated to the growth of Alpha Omega Epsilon.  Heavily engaged as an undergraduate, she has continued her service as an alumna for nearly 30 years.  Holding too many offices to list, she was a founding officer of the International Executive Board, Foundation, and her chapter’s Alumnae group.  Michelle continues her engagement with Alpha Omega Epsilon as she believes strongly that education combined with a strong network truly makes an individual difference.

When not at work, Michelle spends her time volunteering, cheering on  her two teenage children in their many and varied activities, and negotiating with her husband on who takes their very needy, elderly but lovable, dog to/from doggie daycare.

Julie Whalen

Julie graduated from the Alpha chapter at Marquette University with a degree in Industrial Engineering and a miner in Psychology.  Her work has included product and production quality and new product development in the commercial electronics, automotive and medical device industries.  She is currently responsible for Design Quality at a company that develops and manufactures molecular diagnostic systems in the Chicago area.  

Julie held many positions when an active including Secretary, Vice President, President and chaired various committees.  Julie is a founding member of the Executive Board, Foundation and Board of Directors.  She also held the Director of Finance, Director of Expansion and Convention Chair positions.

Alpha Omega Epsilon has had much growth and success over the past few decades and Julie is excited to be involved in the organization again!

Cindy Benske

Cindy is a graduate of Marquette University and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Manufacturing.  She has held various positions within engineering, operations and program management in the electronics, automotive and gaming industries.  She is currently responsible for customer portfolios of engine management systems for non-automotive markets from inception through manufacturing and deployment.

As an Alpha Chapter undergraduate, Cindy served as Vice President, Treasurer and headed various committees.  She is a founding member of the National Executive Board (now known as the IEB) and served as President for many years.  Once the National Executive Board was established,  Cindy became a founding member and President of the Foundation.

Cindy is excited to be part of this journey again. The amazing women over the years has driven her passion for the organization and promotion of women in engineering and science. She is so proud of the organization and what is has grown to be.
